Are you passing through the C-Pier at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol? Make sure you pop in at Kiosco Comunal, a grab-and-go unit on your way to the gates. Have a quick bite, a refreshing drink, or maybe even a casual chat … and then on with the journey.

When HMSHost asked us to design a full take-away counter with maximum service, to replace a temporary drink and snack unit, we created a design that told the story of a transition from temporary to permanent and sustainable.
A container box in it’s typical, recognizable and vibrant form, with yellow as a signal color, a movable storage box, opened and transformed into a fast selling point.

Standing as a beacon amidst all the gates, it has more to offer than you would imagine ...
A communal table is central to the design, subtly following the flow of the moving sidewalk, and gently guiding the travellers in the right direction for optimal service.
Friendly metal stools are fixed to the floor, heavy industrial lamps and plated construction materials give Kiosco a solid and sustainable look.
A slightly worn yellow dominates the color pattern and adds warmth to the industrial container unit.
