Yummi, yummi, yummi I got love in my tummy. The perfect soundtrack to the end of a shopping spree at Vatana Overpelt, with a great coffee and an ice cream waffle at hand. Vatana treats its clients to sweet and salty delights in a design by Creneau: welcome to coffee bar Yummi.

Yummi is written in a cheerfully dancing typography and is spontaneously pronounced with a smile. The vibrant red and the warm golden typewriter illustrate the easygoing and good old homey character of the place.

The homey and dynamic typography is used on the coffee menu as well. The boards are easily replaced, so when the barista comes up with a new coffee he may instantly add it to the menu.

Vatana treats its customers like family and with Yummi they want to offer them some extra indulgence. The familiar ties inspired us to develop the pay-off U/COFFEE. The emblem is Vatana’s declaration of love to its customers. The element is used throughout a variety of communication tools, such as tote bags, cups, the menu, etc.

The Yummi space itself is divided in two zones: an intimate zone to relax and a dynamic zone with more traffic. The two zones are divided by a wooden structure that has integrated lighting. Within it there are many decorative objects that highlight the homey Yummi atmosphere. Along with the acoustic wall behind the bar, the structure is the eye catcher of the coffee bar.
