Creneau International has developed an innovative and dynamic book-retailing concept for the Dutch bookshop chain, Plantage Books & More, part of the Retail Development Company.

What was once the Kingdom of Books can now be called the Republic of Letters. After intensive research, Creneau International presented a revolutionary new shop concept. Away with passive displays of books and magazines. The new shops actively communicate with their customers and ensures that they are inspired in a pleasant way.

The keywords of the new Plantage Books & More concept are innovation, experience and service. The interior reflects the philosophy of inspiration and creativity, using simple and honest materials in an original manner.

The shop is divided into three overlapping zones. The first zone, also called the impulsive zone, is dazzling and inviting, while the second zone, the destination zone, is mainly intended for specific and more in-depth visits in a relaxing atmosphere. Revolutionary, and quite a statement, is the fitting room where customers can “try on” a certain book to see whether it “fits”. In the fitting room, they can also take the quick opportunity to have a closer look at the book.

The third zone, the Internet shop of Plantage Books & More, can be accessed through Internet points in the shop among others. It complements the other zones by offering an even wider range of books.
